Introduction and acceptance of terms: These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, online booking tools, our social media pages, our Google Business profile(s), and related services made available by Animalis Veterinary Group LLC dba Animalis Veterinary (“Animalis Veterinary,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

 

Eligibility and veterinary-client-patient relationship The Site is intended for individuals who are the owner or authorized guardian of a pet and who are at least 21 years old (the age of majority under Puerto Rico law). Use of the Site and communications through the Site do not, by themselves, establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. By accessing or using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are 21 years of age or older. Entering or browsing the Site, creating an account, submitting forms, or requesting an appointment does not create a veterinary relationship. To receive clinical services, you must first execute Animalis Veterinary Group LLC’s client services agreement (the “Service Agreement”). Such a relationship is formed only after in-person evaluation or as permitted under applicable law and professional standards.

Not for emergencies or urgent care The Site is not intended for emergencies. If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency or urgent condition, contact an emergency veterinary facility or your local emergency services immediately.

Account registration and accuracy of information You may be required to create an account or provide information to request or manage appointments. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and your pet, including contact details, pet medical history as you know it, and the reason for your visit, and to update such information as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

Appointment booking, changes, and cancellations The Site allows you to request, schedule, modify, and cancel appointments. Appointment times, availability, and service offerings are not guaranteed and may change. Submitting an appointment request does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship or guarantee services; your receipt of clinical services is conditioned on your execution of the Service Agreement and completion of any required in-person evaluation. We may contact you to confirm, reschedule, or request additional information. You agree to comply with any posted or communicated cancellation or no-show policies, including any applicable fees, which may vary by clinic location. If you are late or fail to appear, we may shorten or reschedule your appointment and may apply a fee consistent with our current policy.

Communications and reminders By providing your email address or mobile phone number, you consent to receive communications related to your appointments and care, including confirmations, reminders, updates, and service-related notices. We may use the information you submit on the Site to contact you, send appointment reminders, and, consistent with our Privacy Policy, send promotional and marketing communications about our services. Message and data rates may apply for SMS communications. You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages as described in our Privacy Policy; however, we may still send you transactional messages related to your appointments and the Site.

User conduct and acceptable use You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You will not misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, submit false or misleading information, or upload content that infringes the rights of others, is harmful, or violates applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access to the Site for violations of these Terms.

Information provided on the Site; no medical advice All veterinary medicine content on the Site —including our website, social media pages, and Google Business profile(s)—is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, nor is it a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Clinical decisions are made by licensed veterinarians based on professional judgment and applicable law.

Fees, payments, and insurance Prices, estimates, and fees for services may be provided or referenced on the Site or communicated by our staff and are subject to change. Any estimates are not guarantees of final cost. Payment terms will be provided at the time of service. We may accept certain wellness plans or third-party payment options as applicable; eligibility and terms are determined by the relevant provider.

Intellectual property The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Animalis Veterinary or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, create derivative works, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit the Site or its content except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

User submissions and feedback If you submit information, reviews, feedback, or suggestions, you grant Animalis Veterinary a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Site and our services. You represent that you have the necessary rights to grant this license and that your submissions do not infringe or violate any third-party rights.

Third-party services and links The Site may integrate with or link to third-party platforms, such as scheduling tools, payment processors, analytics services, or mapping providers. These third parties are not controlled by us, and their terms and privacy practices apply to your use of their services. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services.

Privacy policy Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information. Please review it carefully.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Animalis Veterinary disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Animalis Veterinary and its affiliates, owners, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from or related to your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Site will not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid to us, if any, for use of the Site in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Animalis Veterinary and its affiliates, owners, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to your use of the Site, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing law; venue These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that the courts located in San Juan, Puerto Rico will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to the Site or these Terms, subject to any arbitration provisions below.

Dispute resolution and arbitration At our election, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site may be resolved by binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its applicable rules. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. The arbitration will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the arbitrator may award individual relief authorized by law. This section does not apply where prohibited by law.

Changes to the Site and Terms We may modify or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above indicates the date of the latest changes. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, the license granted to you will end, and you must cease use of the Site. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Severability; waiver; entire agreement If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of such right or provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies or terms referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
